Jade Bate.

Melbourne, Australia. 

In December 2015 I graduated from RMIT’s Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) course, majoring in Cinema Studies, with a Distinction.

Film, music, arts, culture and social issues.

My work has been published on The Age, The Australian Financial Review, Lip Mag, Filmme Fatales, ReelGood, Cataclysm Podcast, MelbArtsFash, RMIT’s Catalyst Magazine and SYN radio’s Online Blog. In my last year at RMIT, I was the Reviews Editor for Catalyst Magazine, where I learnt valuable leadership and editing skills.

In my time at RMIT, I had the pleasure of interning at The Australian Financial Review, Nine Network Australia and Network Ten. Each placement was an incredibly valuable experience that taught me a lot about the media industry and inspired me to continue to pursue my career in journalism.
